Volunteering in India

Volunteers are integral to the work which we do in rural communities around Udaipur, India. They provide passionate role models to the young people in the Orphanage and Disabled Children's school and deliver fun and empowering lessons to children in rural primary schools.

I thought it would be lovely to share some stories from volunteers:

"I have been a volunteer for Channel Youth for the 8 week program for the past 3 years now and will return for my 4th consecutive visit to the project in October.

I am by no means a Gap volunteer, but a senior woman who was seeking some joy and adventure in her life. I got all that and a lot more. I have had nothing but immense pleasure on each visit and have seen the growth of my students blossom.  I have met people from all over the world who feel the common goal of the project. To enable the community to have the skills and confidence to make a better life!

I cant wait to get back and see those happy faces!

I wish you all well and Shanti!
